TEMPORARY IMMIGRATION STATUS

Navigating through the U.S. Visa Process

Basically, visa is a U.S. travel document. It allows a non-U.S. citizen to present himself for inspection at a port of entry and attempt to enter the United States temporarily for a specific purpose.

Each type of nonimmigrant visa is governed by its own set of rules. Failing to abide by the specific terms of the visa category can void the visa and make an individual's presence in the United States illegal.

The I-94 card is the form issued by the federal government that tells you what your status is and how long it remains valid.  Wenell LLC can advise you on what you can do in the United States on your status, whether another status is more appropriate, and what your next steps should be.
